I don't know, maybe I'm slightly partial, but I feel like if you have at least one undeniable classic album under your belt, you deserve to be heard for a minute or two. Some cats were mad exceptional during Hip Hop's best years, and those are the dudes I trust to speak the most. Anyone who was able to excel durin' the music's best years, is alright with me.

What does having a classic album have to do with an opinion on hip-hop? Classic albums are opinions anyway. You don't have to have ANY albums to educate and speak truth. That's like saying Kanye is better suited to speak about the streets than Freddie Foxx because he had a classic album

FYI, most of the smartest cats DIDN'T have a so called classic album. See Wise Intellect, Mos Def, and Talib as examples. There's more out there but those came up off the top.

Why does one get offended when you talk about Chuck D? What exactly are you saying about him?

If Jamar were to debate Chuck D on this topic they would not agree, neither would KRS from what I understand, neither of which he could pull that "i'm more Hip Hop than you" shyt on.

And I highly doubt you'd catch either of them liquored up on Vlad TV letting one of the "guests" use them to stir up controversy for traffic/views.

Yeah I dont like the fact that he's drinking talking about touchy subjects trying to be intelligent, it doesn't look good, true. However it doesn't make anything he's saying less valid. If they don't agree that's fine, it still doesn't make him wrong or invalid. Chuck and Kris can feel whatever they feel and they have been outspoken ambassadors for years, I just side with Jamar on this subject like I've sided with Chuck and Kris on other topics over the years. I don't think that Jamar is far out of bounds with what he's saying.
