There isn't new evidence, she's just throwing new eyes on the case that are less likely to piss themselves when the possibility of thoroughly investigating and charging the killer cop comes up.
The case seems to have been stalled for the last 3 months or so, but this discrepancy between Federal and Local officials has to be an absolute pain-in-the-ass.
