I actually hate that he's known more for movies now cuz dude couldve been an ALL-TIME GREAT when it came to r&b.

I understand he gotta do what he gotta do to pay his bills but when it comes to pure singing, dude can hang with the best.

Powerful voice :wow:

I don't think ppl growing up in the auto-tune era nowadays understand great singing when they hear it.

His voice was and still is amazing. He just needs to craft that one definitive album. But I agree dude has one of the best voices in R&B

I'm legit pissed that somebody threw Chris Brown out there as if his voice gotta patch on Tyrese....

Now the nikka might be as crazy as cat shyt but the dude is talented vocally, in a way many haven't been since the late 90's early 2000's. Which is when Rese came on the scene.

What criteria are we using? Some people are talking vocals, and others are talking body of work. Also, are we talking just male singers, or female singers, too? R&B/Soul is my field of expertise, so y'all can't come half-assed with this shyt. I like Tyrese. Dude is an underrated vocalist, and he has a few hits under his belt. However, to say he's one of the greatest R&B singers of the past 20 years is a stretch. Are you talking top 5? Top 10? I could listen to an argument for top 10, but not top 5.

be careful OP

these fools not educated in R&B

they don't know anything about Tyrese being one of the best

If you was you would know he is not one of the greatest RNB singers and is not even top 10. He is a talented singer and has some great tracks but nothing that places him in that catergory.

Ginuwine hasn't released a good album since 2001.

Donnell Jones hasn't released a good album since 2006. But to his credit he came out in 94-95.

Carl Thomas???? Rofl.

Trey Songz? Nobody liked his music like that until like 2009 when he started making albums for women.

Jamie Foxx? C'mon...
