You cant steal a style of clothing. Its public domain. Especially if its been worn for a hundred years.
Id understand if it was some new stuff that an African designer trademarked/patented, but the designs dont belong to anyone. The stealing argument is as silly as an American suing a chinese designer for have red-white-and blue stars on a dress or mexicans suing Americans for wearing ponchos.
