I remember when we were younger and my brother was suffering from allergies, my grandfather took us to a root doctor. He did all kinds of weird shyt like this. After he was done, he cut off a piece of his hair and nailed it to a tree. "Once he grows taller than this he will be cured." My brother still has horrible allergies. When we got back to the house my mom was none too pleased my dad thought that shyt was funny though.

Yup I hate those bush con men. To be fair there was a lot of real herb and root healing knowledge in Black communities but these wild bush doctors are just pump faking because there was no real certifiable way to credit healers. The frauds are rampant. That shyt is a tradition that had been carried across seas from the motherland.

White people went around collecting the valid knowledge and made pharmaceuticals, left the mysticism where it was at.
