Would have made the finals! At that time, they pretty much had EVERYTHING going for them and they let it slip away losing to Denver in that first round. They would have for sure gotten past houston on the road to the finals. :whew:

You could make that case, They owned the rockets from 93-96. Still the rockets got robbed in game 7 the year before

Matchups! Matchups! Matchups! I think we have seen a few teams that just ran into the wrong matchup at the wrong time. If any other team comes out of the west in 2011, the Heat win. Pistons may not have beaten SA in 07 but they most certainly give them a better series. Spurs win it all in 06 if they could have gotten past the Mavs.

looking back, if they ended up playing Houston that season it would have been one of those playoff series that either team could win

yea, i grew up a hardcore Sonics fan and that is burned into memory

after the first 2 Denver wins i was aware that no 8 had ever won, and i was like 10 so i was extra dumb and cocky about how ill Shawn and Gary were and no one beats the Sonics in a series etc


then..i was humbled
