After playing both games from last year to this year NBA Live does an excellent job with the crowd interaction and atmosphere. NBA2K for some odd reason doesn't address the crowd levels and atmosphere of an NBA game. There are times when it sound like you are bouncing a ball in a empty gym and the shyt is too quiet. NBA Live shyt be loud as fukk especially when you have surround sound.

Live does a nice job by having the ability to select NBA playoff atmosphere or regular game and the crowds look better than 2K.
Like to add the stadiums look better as well.

Overall NBA2K is light years ahead of Live but that is the only feature 2K is lacking besides some gameplay tweaks.

i agree. and there's one other feature live has done much better than 2k. and thats Dribbling/ball handling.

it just hit me after all these years why i dont like 2k's iso motion. even though it looks Sweet. it doesnt react to my control movement like it should.

2k's ball handling is the same as Combos in a fighting game. which is why a lot of people love it. but i dont like it. i personally dont like how fighting game combos work.

Here's why. i like my controls to be 1:1 or as close as they can get them. this means if i tape left. move left. if i tap right. move right. if i want to do a combo move. i have to press all those buttons in all those directions MYSELF. not some Semi Circle, press this. and then watch it play out shortly after. thats 2k my friends.

TO chain moves together. you have to do them like a Street fighter , MK combo move. then put the sticks down and watch it unfold. that is terrible for a fast pace game like basketball.

if a guy is on me, i want to cross him up with my own hand stick movements. not some predefined combo move. 2k's ball handling is much less responsive than lives.

And i wonder if the reason live's animations are so off is because they take a lot of the animations out that they have done in Mo cap. so that the cpu/ram isnt taking up time which may lag actual control input. if thats the case, 2k will never try to take it away from the combo method due to not wanting a game to look bad animation wise like live.

Dribbling was always Live but in one of the 2ks the right analog was the dribble stick and it felt like live. I wish they would go back to that. But Live been garbage since its first outing ojt he last gen consoles

Yeah I remember when Live 10 came out and the crowd was loud and hype. I though 2K would copy that the next year and just keep it in rotation. nope. :beli:

.

Totally agree it seem as if 2K animations are pre-determine where you have to play them out. For example, in 2K grab a rebound and try to run the break there are instances where you dribble will bounce off the defender on some animation flaw. Nine times out of ten your dribble will be deflected or stolen.
