Lowkey, Kings have done well in their rebuild

I know it's too early to say they have a core, but they have done well to grab a lot of guys late with high potential as well as constructing a well rounded team:

Fox(PG)-Quick PG that's likely their future
Hield(SG)-Played incredibly well for them after the trade
McLemore(SG/SF)
Jackson(SF)-quality pick mid-draft and could replace McLemore if they don't want to keep him
Skal(C)-high upside, found late in the draft
Papagiannis(C)-showed some potential, could make for a good backup big
WCS-He's good at what he does lel, solid rotation player and could develop into a DeAndre-lite for them
Harry Giles(PF)-much like Skal, has tons of upside if he can rediscover his pre-injury explosiveness


All these guys are 23 and under and some are guaranteed to pan out. considering how much we blasted them after the Boogie trade, they've actually done well in this rebuild and haven't really done much stupid shyt since the Nik trade(the boogie trade has worked out well for them).

Harry Giles was my favorite player coming into last college season. If he can get over his injury problems and not lose a step, which is probably unlikely, I think he's a perennial all-star. He's so fukking talented.

Nik was their last bad pick and that's what their owner pressured them into doing. He's since backed off. Vlade has done some goofy shyt, but his eye for talent ain't really all that bad in my opinion.

If they manage to do well this roster next year(I'm assuming Gay is gone and the young core gets a lot of minutes), I'd be shocked.

Is next year good for forwards? If Giles doesn't workout I think that's what they should be targeting.

I like their core group of young players. Fox, Skal, Hield, WCS and Giles. If they can just keep healthy and grow into themselves a bit over the next few years they'll be an interesting team to watch

I'm pumped by what they've done on this draft. As much as I stanned Boogie, he was much to blame with the losing culture this franchise has had this decade. That along with the coaching carosel and the moving drama by the MaGoofs put the team and city though.


The Kings can finally grow into a power again.

They haven't made the playoffs since '06
