hard to compare these albums apples to apples. LOX album is a more cohesive studio album. However, State Property is really like a label album. Chain Gang Vol 2 felt more like a compilation than an actual album at times. Doesn't mean it's bad, but it's just a different intent/motive compared to the LOX album. If we want to get closer, maybe we compare a RR album to Chain Gang Vol 2. Even then, that's not really fair because X was heavily involved in those RR albums.

Album so raw, it needed the surgeon's general on the cover :whoa:

It didn't help that the group was manufactured as they all hated each other's guts and were from different sides of Philly (Neef/Buck rep Nicetown, Free SP, Oschino/Sparks SW??, Beans South, and Peedi North Philly). The Lox on the other hand....that chemistry was there and that album they had one focus and that's to burn those shiny suits and help carry the refrigerator up the flight of steps for Diddy :wow:

LOX was an actual group.... the chemistry is different. State Property is a collective. That's the biggest difference to me.

Case and point:

I love this track, but you can clearly hear the lack of chemistry with all of them even on a posse cut. Meanwhile, Lox actually feed off each other especially Jada/Styles.
