AR Fox to Lucha Underground?

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, one of the names being talked about for season two of Lucha Underground is AR Fox. The 27-year-old is one of the best high-flyers in the business today, and has found success in recent years on the independent scene with CZW, Dragon Gate, Evolve and Pro Wrestling Guerrilla.

L.U. originally wanted to bring in Fox, as well as Rich Swann when a deal was made for Ricochet last year (Prince Puma), but they are all under contract with Evolve and the promotion decided to only pay the premium for one of them. Richochet was the top choice, winning the Best of the Super Juniors tournament in 2014 and being the biggest stand-out star of the bunch, and was obviously turned into a major player in Lucha Underground during the first season.

Regarding the second season, there still has been no official word on when (or if) it’s happening. As we’ve been reporting, virtually everyone backstage is moving ahead like it will, but as we approach the end of the summer the talent is starting to fill up bookings for dates that may end up being TV tapings, which would take priority.
