Ludacris had one of the most underrated careers/runs

He dropped 3 dope albums in a row, made a gang of hit records, and was actually a highly skilled MC. I know in the South he wasn't as revered as Jeezy or T.I. because he didn't have the street element but his run is very understated.

I've been thinking about making a thread similar to this for awhile. I'm not really a fan of Ludacris, but as a featuring artist, Luda pretty much always killed it, see 'Stomp' for confirmation. But, he always carried that kind of clownish aspect to his persona, so I don't think he ever really got looked at as a serious MC. He's made a certain amount of good music through the years though.

Its crazy how Luda had the South on lock in the early 2000s. It seem like shyt went downhill after he dropped Release therapy, which had some dope songs.

He's Ja Rule if Ja Rule could rhyme. If that makes sense. They're both utterly useless footnotes of the dark ages of sellout radio rap. History is handling them properly.
