You get a deal like this, you HAVE to take it if you're the FO. Kristaps is a potential franchise anchor. Dude's only flaw is a freak ACL injury. You do that deal 100 times out of 100 and deal with whatever consequences you get. Star driven league, stockpile stars.

Those contracts aren't THAT bad for a team like us that isn't going to contend for AT LEAST another 2-3 years. The shytty Barnes, Lee, and THJ contracts expire at the perfect time, honestly.
Plus the team is so gutted now that if we sit Kristaps, Luka is out here with G Leaguers and we might actually get a top 5 pick
