Damn, good list. All legitimate hip hop classics with infinite replay value.
I’d have to really think about 5 but Life’s A bytch by Nas and AZ would probably top it. I play it on every birthday at some point in the day and it’s one of maybe 2 or 3 songs that legit give me chills and gets me emotional.
Just the lyrics, beat, hook, the essence of “youth” throughout the song, the concept, lines like “I switched my motto, instead of saying ‘fukk tomorrow’, that buck that bought a bottle could’ve struck the lotto” just mind blowing that a 19 year old kid was writing like this. It’s Shakespearean level of genius
