I saw Lynn Swann play when I was in Middle School. He was a warrior but not even a top 100 WR off talent .

so we just gonna ignore this:

There are plenty of receivers in front of Johnson in both yards and touchdowns that have yet to make the Hall, including Jimmy Smith, Torry ****, Henry Ellard and Terrell Owens

but i don't see anyone caping for them... minus TO

i love him as much as the next guy... he's fukking megatron... but be fukking serious... this is not the hall of good... it's supposed to be the best of the best of the best

and y'all in here on some HE'S A LOCK... when in reality he's 27th in yards and 22nd in touchdowns and barely ever made the damn playoffs.... i can assure you it'll be a long time before he gets in, if he gets in
Henry Ellard should be a HOFamer

Fakkit ass Republican
This goofy c00n ran for the Senate in 2006. Bush and Karl Rove were pushing hard for him, yet he lost by 20.
Black voters overwhelmingly rejected his ass. Even his former Steelers teammate Franco Harris campaigned against him.
Dude was real bitter afterwards... Apparently, he still is.

Agree. Which is why I think TD deserves to be in. His 1998 season is probably the best overall season a RB has ever had.
You can definitely make that case. I think what hurts him besides his short career is the fact the Broncos produced 1000 yd rushers after he was gone but I always say yeah that zone run scheme produced 1000 yd backs but none of them accomplished what TD did.

The Original Rec Room Gang
The dudes you quoted and possibly some you summoned :manny: But the quotes are retarded
They read like someone who was alive, but didn't really "follow" football outside of their hometown teams
Then you add in a couple of NFL network replays and you have your modern day historian/moron

Art Monk was like Brandon Marshall Sr. He was that dependable on the field, and wasn't a knucklehead off it
Even our biggest rival, the world wide disliked cowboys fans and players respect Art Monk (Tru Story)
If Art was here, I'd tell him to dab his mustache on deez haters

I don't think Megatron is a HOF yet either

As arbitrary as the HOF selection process seems, there is NO WAY Calvin Johnson gets in on the first ballot.

Also, I don't see T.O. getting in before Torry **** or Henry Ellard.

I understand the tendency for Coli heads to wanna see players that THEY grew up watching get into the HOF, but it's still dudes from the 60s and 70s waiting to get in, lol. Some of these dudes, y'all gonna be waiting awhile to see them get in, if ever.

Agreed with this 100%, and I'm a big CJ fan.

me too... i pay close attention to all WR cause my fav was Rice.. so I just love the position

i just KNEW he was going to come in and break all the records.. so it's sad to see it end like this for him

but that doesn't mean we can start bullshytting people into the hall.. we sit here and say TO should be first ballot cause of his numbers... then want to ignore megatron's numbers and just leapfrog him into the hall....

nah
