That's about what I get around town in my little V6. I think you'd be looking at closer to 10-14 more realistically.

One of my cars that had around 450whp got around 10 around town in normal driving.

I was in my minivan last year on the Capital beltway (highway loop around Washington DC), and I blew by this Mercedes-Benz AMG E-class sedan, I was only going 5 over the speed limit. Asian dude needed to conserve on gas, I think the model car he had an EPA 14 MPG highway.
