I always wondered about this too, but Im sure this was BEFORE mase was rappin seriously. I know some people from my area and they would cypher and the n****s that was really into rappin recording would steal some of the lines from the cypher of the people who didn't record and put it on wax. So thats basically what hes saying, i think all those lines people posted above are just coincidences of them both being lyrical monsters. Im sure Big L could hold his own without stealin though.

That's normal.

But most of L's lines were released on underground joints from '92-'95. Mase was bringing those shyts back in like '97. LOL! If you ever heard L on Stretch and Bobbito's show, you were like WTF? Cats heard all of that shyt already.

I remember back in the ProjectCovo days there was this thread made saying that Big L did steal or borrowed lines from Ma$e. They gave a lot of examples too. It was at least 5 or 6 examples. I can't remember all of them. I actually only remember one b/c I always listen to this song. But if people know what i'm talking about please post those other examples.
