winter time's here so i went to pull out the 120gb ipod that i haven't used in a while with most of my 90's hip-hop on it and i went to plug it in to make a playlist and it's not showing up on my itunes or macbook.

so i took out and after that and it's acting funny, scroll down the albums and it randomly pauses for a while and when i press play on an album it takes a while to come on.

i take it, the ipod is done ?

if it's done is there way to get the music off of it considering it's not connecting to the macbook ?
(and i'm too lazy to get the external that all the music from that ipod is on from storage)

does the ipod have the option to enable disk use checked in itunes from before? if so, you should be able to browse the ipod like a hard drive.
