Machinists endorse Clinton

The International Association of Machinists endorsed Hillary Clinton for president.
Machinists President R. Thomas Buffenbarger announced the endorsement at the IAM’s 2015 staff conference, according to the union’s Twitter feed. The Machinists are only the third AFL-CIO union to issue a presidential endorsement. The American Federation of Teachers endorsed Clinton in July, and National Nurses United endorsed Bernie Sanders earlier this week. The AFL-CIO itself is not expected to make an endorsement anytime soon.
“We will deliver our sister () Hillary Clinton as the next president of the united States,” Buffenbarger said.
The union has about 570,000 members.
