It is Thanksgiving!

And as usual, we have a game in the Motor City!

The Lions, who are the reigning NFC North Division champions, are attempting to get themselves back into the top of the division race at 7-4. The division lead currently belongs to Chicago at 8-3, but Detroit still controls its own destiny. The season began at Lambeau Field where Lions dropped the opener in Micah Parsons' debut with the Packers. Detroit's offense couldn't get anything going and they fell behind as the Packers offense got a lead and never looked back.

Dan Campbell's guys have battled through an up-and-down year, grinding out wins when they've needed them most, including a slugfest against the lowly Giants last week. A critical win after the Eagles dispatched them the week before.

The Packers still are the youngest team in the NFL for a 3rd straight season. The team is maturing with some of its key players. Jordan Love has played his best football this season and the defense has done its job limiting huge scoring outputs all year. Despite key injuries on offense, Green Bay sits at 7-3-1 and is riding a two-game winning streak after beating the Vikings at Lambeau. The defense, bolstered by the Parsons addition, has given this team an edge it lacked in years past. They too survived a slugfest with the 2-10 Giants before dispatching Minnesota.

The NFC North is wide open. Chicago leads, but both the Packers and Lions are right there. A Packers win today would put them at 8-3-1 and keep pressure on the Bears. A Lions win gets them back to .500 in the division race and keeps their playoff hopes alive.

The last time these two teams played on Thanksgiving was 2023. Detroit was 8-2 and GB was 4-6. GB won after jumping out to a big lead which catapulted the Pack on a hot streak to get into the 2023 playoffs.

Can Detroit protect home field and avenge their Week 1 loss?

Or will the Packers' young guns continue get on a hot streak and move into prime position to challenge for the division crown?

My prediction? GB loses its first game scoring 27 points this season as the Lions rushing attack is the key to victory. GB's interior DLine is its biggest weakness outside of CB. Detroit will run the ball to limit the pressure on Goff as he is a statue against a potent pass rush.

Packers - 27
Lions - 30

Jared Goff is why I hold out hope for Bryce Young. U mean to tell me Bryce can't be as good or better than this guy? A lot of it is getting lucky and going to the right franchise

This is a nice ass drive they are cooking up. Drives like this fukk the opposing offense up because you feel like you gotta replicate it and then you end up punting like a goof

Edit: then of course they fukk it up
