How regular (and accepted) this was only like 25-30 years ago is something that should probably be discussed more. It wasn’t the norm but it wasn’t crazy like that either to hear that the cute 15 year old joint in your class is fukking with some 27 year old hustlin type nig with a Lexus, etc… type shh. I’m trying to think when it became super taboo and unacceptable. Imagine how it was 50-75 years ago,

I would wager most cats born in the 80s remember having to compete for girls their age with men who were 10 years or more their senior, I would say the 90s and early 2000s there was a pretty vocal segment of males and females calling out that behavior, at least from my vantage point, it was a pretty common thing to see. But I do think it's a circular behavior meaning it seems to come back around within a generation or 2, like its obviously pretty prevalent now in the online age with all these apps that are mixing 10-17 year olds in with 18-27 year olds, discord servers, gaming platforms etc

But yeah, to your point of 50-70 years ago it was hella commonplace for 25 year olds to be outright marrying 16 and 17 year olds and you see now a large and vocal outpouring of adults who have a laundry list of excuses justifying their underage theories. Sadly I think as long as there are teenagers there will be adults waiting to exploit them.
