That's his partner, but his mom died, you're right. He's had a rough decade man. His mom died from cancer and he wrote about that on his first two albums. And his last album was in 2011, and in that time he's had a son, and he keeps his life private, so I don't know if his baby moms is his wife or girlfriend, but she got cancer as well. People have been asking why it's taken so long. I'm surprised he said it on someone's album besides his own, but he'll cover the topic more on his solo album for sure.
He had a couple years where he was barely posting on social media, not doing any beats or guest verses, etc.
The new album should definitely have a lot of personal stuff on there.

Same guy yeah.
Yeah he had a terrible Oxycontin addiction and this is the first album he's dropped in a long time. I've never been a huge fan, but Evidence produced the whole album, and coached his rapping some on this, and it's a solid listen.
