black pride died in the 1970s with our perceived acceptance into the mainstreaming lines of entertainment/servitude. And the little blacks boys who MLK envisioned back in 1968, grew up and lusted after those little white girls (and their culture) from their childhoods. Shi*t. by the 80s even our women were coveting the much more easily accepted, lighter skinned (less black) men. While back in the hood, getting rich or dying while trying has been the template for our people once both mental and physical drugs, (and their pushers) were created and brought into our communities. The plight of the black man and woman of slave descent is more unique than any group ever presented on the worlds stage. And most are only aware of our post african history.
