After New X-Men ended there were was so many inconsistent stories, bland plots and a general lack of reason to tell those stories. Mike Carey's X-Men with Fraction/Gillen on Uncanny, Yost and then Remember on X-Force

Even New Mutants was really good.

Avengers getting that push after disassembled really set the X-Men books back. Only thing worse was that inhuman vs Xmen stuff from mid 2010s

The Remender’s run on x-force was great the dark angel saga was amazing all around.

To me their relationship (and wolverine's backstory) has always been the most compelling part of Xmen

I never really cared about Wolverines backstory. I never really liked the edgy character with shadowy backstory cliche.

Sinister too jokey now

I love the spin on his character. Especially in Hellions

Uncanny volume 2 Sinister really unlocked the dramatics of the character.

Hellions and Immortal X-Men have shown him the most.
