I dunno about mainstream, but they seem to be finding their own lane in the independent lane.. Young Ones Records seems to do good by their artists, and they're always linking up with talented, albeit unknown, artists via the internet.

BDE mixtape coming out July 10

Mixtape with producer Tynethys coming soon

808s & Dark Grapes III coming out is slated for an early August release, but nothing official. Produced entirely by Friendzone. "Summa Time" is the first official single off the tape.

shyt sux..and I used to fukk with they crew when they used to be at the Alaska gas station in the ice grinding back in the early 2000s..

they've definitely changed their style a bit from their early work, a lot more experimental with their flows and raps. I ain't mad though, I fukk with their older stuff and newer stuff equally.

What's their best work?

Most people would tell you 808s & Dark Grapes II, which probably would be the best place to start with them. They got some great production on this tape, and even though they're not the best lyricists, it's their best performance as a duo, and the hazy 'cloud' atmosphere really covers up any shortcomings pretty well. It's just an easy tape to vibe to.

Make sure to check out some of their earlier shyt, especially the tape I Smoke Because I Dont Care About Death. Turn the bass up on this one, and every now and then, squadda will drop some real shyt in these tracks.

others to check:
Best Duo Ever
Blackberry Ku$h
Chandeliers

I can hook anyone up with some links if they need em, just lemme know.
