The owner of Marcy's Diner in Portland, Maine is coming under fire for snapping at a young girl in her restaurant Saturday.

"I might snap and I do scream at times, but that's all it is... leaning over the counter and yelling," said restaurant owner Darla Neugebauer.

She said she snapped Saturday at a young girl and it all started when her parents ordered some pancakes for her.

"They ordered three for this kid, a two-year old," Neugebauer said. "Three pancakes bigger than her head. And then they didn't even feed them to her."

Neugebauer said the pancakes were out of the girl's reach. She wanted to eat them, but Neugebauer claims her parents weren't letting her have them. The girl started crying loudly.

Neugebauer aid she asked the group to leave, or take the girl outside, but they didn't. The girl continued to cry, Neugebauer said, lasting nearly an hour.

The restaurant owner said she had had enough.

"All I said was... I slammed my hands on the counter and said this needs to stop, meaning her screaming and I pointed at her," Neugebauer said. "And she looked at me and she stopped. And her parents said 'are you screaming at a child?' 'Yes I am. And she shut up.'"

Neugebauer got what she wanted, but the girl's parents are upset, leaving a comment on the diner's Facebook page calling what happened there "the worst experience."

Adding, "Who in their right mind would behave like this unless you are deranged?"

Neugebauer replied to the post, saying in part "Yes i am f------ crazy & you are lucky i didn't get really -----ing nuts because being physical is not something i cower from."

"Are you sorry at all?" a reporter asked Neugebauer.

"Um, I don't know if sorry would be the proper word," she said. "I might have used poor judgment. I wouldn't say that I was sorry because it stopped. When things stop, it's usually a good thing."

Marcy's is now getting a lot of backlash online from people who say they refuse to eat there.

Neugebauer is shrugging it off.

"Life is full of choices, and you have to live with all of them," she said. "I chose to yell at the kid and it made her shut up, which made me happy. It made my staff happy. It made the 75 other people in the restaurant happy. And they left. They may never come back. Other people may not come in. Their loss, really."

Parents should've controlled their kid. Entitled a$$holes didnt show any courtesy to the oyher dinrrs by taking the kid outside to calm her down so someone did it for them.

They should be ashamed for being terrible people and parents. CPS should look into them for abuse and take the girl and put her in the custody of Nuerberger so that the girl will grow up properly and not end up a stripper or whore selling her body for a twenty and some pancakes.

Like.. if you wanna spoil your child at home then that's on you, but when they go out into the real world don't expect people to put up with their shyt. I'm tired of parents with horrible parenting skills acting like people are the problem when they get checked for raising brats :camby:

she really don't need a case breh. Ordering 3 big ass pancakes for her and not feeding them to her already lets people know what type of parents they are. The owner should have ethered the mom not the kid but :yeshrug:.

The response from the mom proves she's a clueless parent. She actually tryed to teach a life lesson to a fukking two yo after

Mom: . "I turned to my daughter and I was like 'Listen, this is how I'm raising you not to be as an adult. Like, you will never be like this when you get older,'" she said. "I felt helpless as a mom that, you know, I couldn't do anything to help her, because I can't explain why there's crazy people in this world that behave like that.

Daughter: I'm still HUNGRY:sadbron:
