to be clear, by deplatforming i basically mean stop the distribution of your music (even tho i see no evidence that the internet companies are threatening anything yet). That would damn near be impossible now, majority of these dudes aren't even on major labels and people sold/shared music before the internet and before the radio.
nevermind the fact the NYPD reaction was due to real violence occurring...which was my larger point

What the mayor needs to do is enact some really tough on crime policies. No conversation. No photo ops. Just throw the book at these lil nikkas that terrorizing the community.

That’s what they did in London but it didn’t stop the violence. They also went as far as banning drill music (some artists are still banned) and removing videos off YouTube but the only thing that achieved is taking it out of the part of London it originated from and spreading it all over the country.

The violence has reduced now with more money in the music since they’re getting signed by labels and artists being able to crossover. I think that’s the only way you can curb the violence. When people have more to lose and can make good money from it - violence would be the last option.
