Make a List of the 5 Best Hip-Hop Albums to Come Out Every Year Since 2002

Hello friends,


I follow Hip-Hop religiously through the year 2002. Then, life got busy, my favorite hip-hop artists seemed to be declining, and nobody new was stepping up to fill the void.

So I haven't followed the hip-hop scene very closely for the last decade. I've mostly gotten my fill from stuff I already had and releases from Hip-Hop's golden era that I had yet to check out.


I want your help figuring out what I have missed out on. To give you an idea of the kind of Hip-Hop I consider good, I like Nas, Jay-Z, Wu-Tang, The Roots, Common, Tribe, PE, etc.

Just browsing wikipedia pages of my favorite emcees, I'm shocked by how much stuff has come out that I haven't listened to. I don't even know where to start.


So for each year, from 2003-2013, what are the best best hip-hop albums to be released?
