Rollerskating been popular in our culture, before Corona my rink used to have 2-300 of us there every Sunday night for 18 & over hip-hop r&b skate jam. It's a whole community for it plus groups that travel to different states/cities for skate jams. My rink just opened back up too. Check the site below...

I miss skating so much. STL usually has a skate party every November around my birthday and I planned on going, but they cancelled this year. Depending on how everything goes with COVID, I may try to get to Memphis. They rescheduled a party for end of Oct.

Thats cool af. I lived in atlanta for a little when i was a kid and i remember Going to hang out at the roller rink. I could never do it but i remember seeing people dancing and styling like that.

I'm in Mentor, OH, about 20 min east of downtown Cleveland. My rink is about 15 min east of Cleveland, United Skates Of America. We have our local guys Trey and Ivory spinning the jams on Sunday nights for 18 and over from 9 to 1am. We just got DJ Ronny Knight for Monday nights which is 30 and over from 7 - 10pm. Unfortunately so many skate jams have been cancelled due to Covid, Rollin In the Carolinas is one I wanted to go to. The big one we have in Ohio is Icy Hot down in Columbus at Skate Zone 71 in January. I feel like TI said in ATL, the rink is my sanctuary, place of peace and good times!! I'm usually working on my dance moves, 180's, and getting my backwards skating down.
