I re-copped Mark Morrison - Return Of The Mack because (A) it is a classic, and (B) I myself am
a Mack and I be returning places. But yeah, they took a bunch of the samples out and the beats
ain’t Fiya Flame like the OG version…

the worst is when sample clearances cause them to use a different beat or completely take the song off the album

like, I HATE the verison of TI, Lets Get Away thats on streaming cause they had to change the cadence of the hook and take off Keri Hilson...shyt is like nails on a chalkboard to me compared to the og.....or on Mia X album, they couldnt use the stevie wonder sample so they got a generic ass beat for "You and Me"........Smoking Green not on the TRU album cause of the Isley brother sample... some of Biggie's songs got fukked up cause of samples...shyt like that

i still have all my cds and itunes library but it just sucks for the convenience of having everything in your phone

That’s the radio/music video version. They had the original version on iTunes for YEARS then they changed it in 2018 when some music company got the rights to some of T.I.’s albums

I use Spotify a lot but I still download every album that I listen to or want to keep. I’m not getting rid of everything, relying on Spotify and then one random day it gets shut down or bought out by one label and only albums from that label is available. fukk that

I have loads of music purchased either hardcopy or digitally up until December 2017. The last physical album I bought was Big Kirt’s album before his most recent one. So many albums will be lost in translation cause of streaming. I love the convenience, but you are literally paying to rent music. Streaming apps can remove music whenever they want just because, and I don’t care for that. CDs and external hard drives are where it’s at.

The Ready to Die remaster on streaming has this strange version of "Machine Gun Funk".

The title track has the horns in the hook removed and it’s so trash. Sounds empty as hell. A lot of Big Krit’s mixtapes have been butchered this same way. It’s disgusting.

Doggystyle - G’z Up and Hoes Down. It goes from having 19 Tracks to 13.

S4MN (Original Pressing) has a slightly altered Keep Ya Head Up that is absent from the later copies (and digital/streaming)

The early copies of Michael Jackson Bad and HIStory have altered versions.

E. 1999 Eternal- the original Crossroads got removed.

Tha Carter III - Playing with Fire got removed and replaced

Stillmatic- Braveheart Party (I’m sure people aren’t losing sleep over this one but still)
