Man, it's funny.

I've always been a happy dude, but I've recently (since maybe 2015) been putting in work towards being fully satisfied. Nothing hard or deep, basically it's just been a matter of stopping and appreciating where I'm at in the world, loving my family, having freedom, etc...

I'm a very simple dude. I have no social media, I eat simply, live pretty simply. I don't have any friends in my city which kinda sucks, but my health is good, my girl is great, my job is dope, and I've got a fridge full of food.

So I've always been happy, but today I realized I had reached a new level.

I was on Reddit (yea yea cacs yadda yadda :yawn:) and there was a thread about if you could go back to age 10 with all the knowledge you have now, would you go or not. And this question is something I've fallen asleep to for the past... god 20+ years (I'm 40 now) but I hadn't really thought about it in a while. I would always think about going right instead of left with women, inventing myspace, going to med school, investing in Apple stock in the 80's, etc.... All the mistakes I've made in my life.

But today was different. When i read this question today, I was surprised... that the answer was, for the first time "no". And the reason is because I'm fukking happy.

If I went back in time, I would definitely have more money and probably fewer cringe moments in my past, but I honestly couldn't say that I would be happier.

So I concur with your premise.

True love is happiness, because you can lose everything tomorrow.

I agree wholeheartedly as I am in pursuit of what me happy and have been for the last 8 years.

Hopefully, it will possibly afford me a small level of wealth as well. *fingers crossed*

Might be the wrong time or place, but I just watched the documentary on Bill Murray yesterday on netfNet, and this brings it to mind. The whole thing was really just showing happy moments being shared with a guy you'd never expect showing up. It has a few gems in it.

Mental health and physical health should never be taken for granted.But we live in a society that takes a lot of shyt for granted.I realized that even the simplest things can make me happy.
