But interestingly enough...

The 2013 season, we started off w/ a big, surprising, W against Miami which put that battery in our back that turned into a 6 game winning streak & a 8-1 record to start the season. Source: http://www.landofbasketball.com/results_by_team/2012_2013_knicks.htm

I actually like starting the season like that. We have to face you guys & the Cavs some time, might as well be to kick off the season. I do understand wanting to get our bearings first but fukk it... I want to season to start off w/ a bang win or lose.

That being said, I'm more afraid of Chi than Cleveland. If we beat Chicago, Melo is scoring 40 against Cleveland.
Actually, getting Cleveland before they get comfortable is probably better than midseason when they are a fine tuned machine

Should be a fun way to start the season for ya'll

I am actually excited to see you guys against Portland. After last season, I personally crowned Lillard as my "New Grown Rose", lol.

It would be cool for D. Rose to drop a stat line of 34 pts, 8 assists, 7 boards & 2 stls against them & look at Lillard like,

"How did it feel to be ME"

He was giving WORK to Lillard in the game he tore his meniscus last season.

Melo usually goes off for 40 vs Chi at the Garden

We're playing in Cleveland against LBJ home opener, I remember watching choppy streams of that drunk Austin Carr rambling when Cavs would be up by 20 an shyt.

We've never beat Cle in Cle with LBJ, hell I don't think we've won in Cle since he left either.

If EVERYDAY I went to a middle school playground during recess and proceeded to jump in their pick up basketball game, all the while proceeding to bytch them out for their lack of fundamentals, Bball IQ, and bigged up all my own accomplishments and experience in the game.....would that really make me a hoops oficianado?? Wouldn't I prefer to play with like minded peers? Or am I actually uncomfortable around my "peers"? Maybe my weak shyt don't play the same among them. Maybe playing with the 7th graders is good for my self esteem? I dunno. :manny: Just something I was thinking about.

Since the 08-09 season the Cavs won 14 of the 22 games against the Knicks.

Including 5 out of 8 wins in the 2 years after LeBron left and they were in serious tank mode. It's always blew my mind.

Breh there's a chance no matter what we that we may never get a ring . Nba doesn't provide the parity provided by other sports
Oh I agree. That's why I subscribe to the notion that as long as you are a legitimate playoff team (which I feel the Knicks are and were last season) that you should try to see how deep you can make it. If you can make it past the second round and put up a fight the whole way through you will automatically be taken seriously. I feel like players won't be clamoring to come to NY until the Knicks do that. And until the Knicks can get the really good role players on the cheap they won't be title contenders. So the onus is on us this season to make it back to the playoffs AND have a good record so that our offseason may be fruitful

Looks like Bledsoe might be an option :ehh: and he's making less than Monroe so he's probably a more realistic option :blessed:
