Yeah, one or a handful of Blacks were/are a novelty. Any more than that, and it becomes a problem.
I still think about how much farther we would have come if he was here this whole time. How different it could be.
I really would have loge to see how our community would have been if Malcolm survived (or was never shot). What would be the landscape of our community had he had an opportunity to launch his MMI and OAAU organization or relationship was restored with the NOI in some capacity. He had a lot of charisma.

Happy to celebrate the life and example of El Hajj Malik El Shabazz. He died at 39-years-old and made most of his impact towards the latter years of his short life. When I catch myself making excuses about why I can't perform, I seriously give this fact a thought. Didn't even live to be 40 and we still learn now from his contributions. May he rest in peace.
