I was the DJ from Philly (who rolled with a crew of lawyers & bankers), I was with Marsha Ambrosius and her DJ that night (they were also in the club).....I know you follow me on twitter.....we haven't spoken since tho. My homeboy introduced me to you when I got to the club and I told you I recognized you from SOHH/The Coli and we laughed about SOHH being dead. lol

One thing i can say is that no matter what, hot rod is living the dream. I have worked my whole life as a classically trained musician and i have barely only somewhat gotten my foot through the door and even then im sort of on the outside looking in. What some people would perceive as failures etc, this guy was on the cover of xxl, toured with 50 etc.

I cant exactly find the dissapointment other than he never got super popular, but he did enough to get in, which is an accomplishment in itself.

This is probably one of the realest things I've read. I'm a working DJ and I've known by pretty much everyone in Philly on the club scene but I'm still feel the same way as you. The music industry is a very hard game......Not everyone is meant to make it, make more than one hit record, stay in the game forever, become legends....As a person u just have to respect any accomplishments a person makes in this game. Duke has really been a success and made some decent money and you gotta admire that.
