A 25-year-old man is behind bars after police say he pulled one of the most disturbing and disgusting stunts we’ve seen in a minute—allegedly spraying HIV-positive blood directly into the eyes of two emergency hospital workerswhile they were just trying to treat him.

Kameron Gilchrist Charged With Felony Assault After HIV Exposure Incident at Raleigh’s Rex Hospital

According to arrest warrants obtained by The North Carolina Beat, Kameron Lamont Gilchrist is facing two counts of felony physical assault on emergency personnel stemming from a March 21, 2025, incident.

Warrants say that while Gilchrist was being treated at UNC Rex Hospital in Raleigh for diabetic-related issues, he allegedly “sprayed HIV blood into the eyes” of two hospital employees, causing irritation and direct exposure to the virus.

Kameron Lamont Gilchrist, 25, is facing felony charges after police say he exposed two Raleigh hospital workers to HIV by spraying infected blood into their eyes during a March 2025 incident.

Arrest Came Months After Incident

Despite the incident taking place back in March, Gilchrist wasn’t arrested until September 11, 2025—nearly six months later.

Gilchrist was undergoing medical and psychiatric treatment at the time of the incident, which prevented officers from arresting him at that time.
He was booked into the Wake County Jail, where he is currently being held on a $25,000 bond.

As of now, no updates on whether the victims tested positive.
