that white dude with the half-black son was the star of that Pittsburgh season. Ive seen plenty of dads who forced their kids into being little league players. but this particular dude was moreso just his son's biggest STAN.
and it all culminated with him crying on the curb after he stormed out of the team banquet, while rockin a t-shirt with a photo of his son on the field.

yea coaches were screwing over benny thru most of that season, just cuz they aint like his pops.

i didn't get to see the episode, but the way you described it allowed me to picture it, and i must say, this is too funny. just like benny's pops i would have cried............but from laughter.
there was a whole buildup to that moment too.
he was trying his best not to cause a scene the whole night. but I think they were serving drinks.
when he started loosing it tho, and he walked up to the coach like "DO YOU SEE THIS SHIRT? BENNY'S A BEAST!!!"
then when that other coach that talks like bobby lashley and looks like him in the face. LOL. that coach grabbed him and threatened to drag him out the building.

I remember earlier in the season when those two were going at it in the parking lot over Benny in the middle of practice. like they were about to scrap or something. they both ended up banned from practice for like a week or 2.

I don't remember the players but I recall the coaches about to fight each other on the sidelines.
is that the same team where the mayor or whatever was the head coach?
