Man, it would great if Ice Cube and Scarface made a "Watch The Throne" type of album

I don't think it's THAT good of an idea. They are respected legends and all, but who still checks for Cube as a rap artist? In 2012? Scarface maybe, but he too had to make way for younger artists from the South.

And "Watch the Throne" was wack to me :yeshrug:

Cube and Face are legends. Both of their albums are always instant check outs for me.

I haven't heard any of the songs from Watch The Throne aside from the singles, so I don't know what that album sounds like. But what I was talking about was just the concept (having two artists collaborate on one album together) of the Watch The Throne album; having Cube and Face do a whole album together.

problem would that the production would likely be trash and bring the entire album down, you hear the production on Cube's last album? :snoop:

Exactly - they are legends and this is why I don't want them to ruin their legacy with a half-assed project, boring rhymes and poor production. I just don't see them being creative enough anymore to impress the rap fans in 2012.

On the other hand, who knows. Depends on who would produce the album.

They might not be able to impress the mainstream but there's still the underground.

As much as I love both Cube and Scarface....both of them doing a collaboration would be a bad idea.

Ice Cube is a shadow of what he once was...at best on a new album he would be back on his political/social satire steeze...but I can't see Cube really blowing any minds in 2012.

Besides, the thing about WTT is that it was both a legend (Jay) and an established artist that came up under him in a sense and looks up to him (Kanye). A better idea would be a Game/Kendrick collabo (An up and coming WC rapper and an established WC rapper)

or Gucci Man/Chief Keef (One established garbage rapper and one up and coming trash rapper) :russ::dead:
