I wonder if he felt some kind of pressure: financial, professional, infidelity etc.
That kind of shyt doesn't just happen. He either had a history of questionable shyt, or something serious popped up that got him shook to the point where he felt like he had to end it all.
There's a strong stink of narcissm in these situations. He couldn't just kill himself. He had to take the wife AND kids with them....like he didn't want them experiencing happiness without them. Mental illness is a possibility, but I feel like if that was the case, he wouldn't have killed them too.

I don't think it's that serious. I'm willing to bet she was just cheating on him with one of her ccountrymen. To get a hint why i say this look at their ages one more time . It's almost a 15-year age Gap. Their oldest kid is only eight, so they had to have met 9 years ago. You got to be a little bit suspicious when a dude in his mid 40s gets a woman who is just barely turned 30.
I have a lot of Navy guys in my family ranging from cousins to uncles to Grand uncles. All of them thought they found someone special in Asia. Every single one of them had one of these suspicious age gaps. Out of half a dozen of them only one pairing remained between a Filipina and one of my grand uncles. In the other five cases the Asian woman played their position just long enough to get their hands on their UScitizenship and they were gone. Didn't matter whether they were Japanese or Korean or filipina or thai. It was always the same game. And they always had someone they were seeing on the side.
The only difference between my Navy family members and this guy is that my family members are black. They all took the L gracefully and learned their lesson, wheras the white guy seems like he couldn't accept his position.

Depends on where he found her . If she was born in America she's already westernized so she might as well be a white chick with slanted eyes. If he brought her from another country he probably expected her to act like in home country but once they hit America most turn into girls u would meet at a mall . Not submissive at all

I think you people are doing this story a lot of disservice with all the projection that maybe she was cheating/ driving him crazy/ going bankrupt etc. May be the case but the truth will come out. There's no reason at this point to assign blame until things come out instead of saay blindly accusing one or the other for something. What is facts at this moment is the kids didn't deserve this and regardless of what they did the family didn't deserve this.

I have a friend of my wife that frequents a local bar and cheats with one of the other locals. Another Filipino married man. She even brings her husband to that same bar and they're all friends and have Thanksgiving together. This is normal and she laughs about it.
In this case, I believe Thy Mitchell was Vietnamese so culturally, I'm not sure how that works. But she was also pregnant. Was that his child? This whole thing is disheartening man.
