The way these soccer seasons work, all these leagues and cups mixed up with international play I can see why he wouldn’t.

For a team that size players rarely play every single game. Between cup Competitions, squad rotation and injury management .You also have big money players on the bench that need to be given run from time to time .

Now if you were the key player playing for a relegation candidate of course you’d be more likely to play all the time because their isn’t a replacement for you .

Nobody plays every game, especially not a 37 year old. He has to be load managed.

The problem with Ronaldo is that you have to carefully surround him with guys who will do the dirty work because he's a finesse player. He'll score goals, but he's not willing to close down opposing players.

United bought Ronaldo in the 11th hour, so they didn't build around Ronaldo with him in mind and paid a hefty price. They fell from 2nd to 6th, and now they can't play in the Champions League.
