Black bears have more flight than fight in them in regards to human contact, but getting too close to a cub is one of the few situations where all bets are off.

For anyone that doesn't know dogset increases your chances of having a violent contact with a bear. Dogs are competition. Dog owners for walking them into bear range. Same bear would be more likely to avoid human otherwise.

This isn't a theory it has been proven. Dog walkers have higher percentage of attacks.
