Straight hair is not inherently cultural thing, that's just a hair texture that some people have. Straightening hair is not "cultural appropriation." Furthermore, those in our community who do it, often do it out of a degree of self-hate, which was forced into our minds by centuries of racism and colonization.

Straight hair is not a unique style that required any work or innovation to come up with. It has no distinct cultural origination as a style.
