Marianne is Netflix's new best orginial horror series. Easily tops Hill House.

I'm on episode 6 and I got to give the crown. Watch it in its original language. French. It's better than the English voice over. The audio mixer is horrible and voice acting is super iffy.

Better pacing
More relateable characters
Less over dramatic and drawn out filler
An engaging antagonist
Way better horror set pieces

It uses jump scares a lot, tho.

It maybe kind of over the top... Which is only in the 1st episode, but once it settles down. It gets in stride and don't let go.

It's comparable to Hereditary, IT part 1, and Apostle.

Reppin
Pawgs with dragons
Lured back to her hometown, a famous horror writer discovers that the evil spirit who plagues her dreams is now wreaking havoc in the real world.

I'm intrigued. I fukked with Blackspot, which was another French thriller/semi-horror/mystery show from Netflix this year. Huanting of Hill House was amazing for a lot more than just the horror element to me though. Same with Hereditary for the first 90% of the film before shyt got straight demonic:damn:

Just finished the last episode.

Last episode wasn't scary, but shyt was so balls to the walls and so much enjoyable gratification. I love when a horror series go all in and the antagonist in the end was fukking awesome.

2-7 top notch with scares, great character moments, and atmosphere. Episode 8 is 100% about the plot's endgame and its a fukking Rollercoaster and tense.

Episode 1 is my only sore spot because it's a bit over the top like Evil Dead and tries too hard to draw you in.
