This game is somewhat tedious and long.
I'm nearly 50 hours in and only now close to the final island.

This is definitely my least favorite entry in the series and I played M&L: Paper Jam.

All the complaints IGN gave in their review I agree with. All that unnecessary forced dialogue, the button mapping for Luigi’s attacks, the low number of boss battles, the game length being stretched out by unneeded back tracking, the hand holding, the general way they treated Luigi in this game by not letting us really control him AND those damn IDLE kids.

the skip-forward barely doing anything is my main complaint...it makes Pokemon dialogue look brief.
The plug designs and puns aren't that cool, so everyone is annoying and ugly.
The Combat Is great, even though I do suck at certain Bros. Attacks.
I gave up ony doing sidequests by the last part...i just don't care enough to pad my game with 3-4 hours of nothing when i'm so close to the final boss.

Damn I didn’t even think about the skip not doing much. Now I’m going to notice it. It speeds it up a tiny bit i thought.

I’m getting into nitpick territory but fukk it. I dislike the soundtrack too. And the load times are trash.

AND I can’t get rid of the map in the top of the screen when I’m just exploring islands.

The counters give me trouble all the time. I’m no slouch but this game in particular tests my reflexes

Man, I remember loving this franchise. :francis:

Superstar Saga, Partners in Time, Bowsers Inside Story & Dream team were all great.

Superstar Saga is a GOAT-tier GBA game. Bowser's inside story is the GOAT DS game. Shame that the series isn't as good as it used to be :francis:
