Marist 2016 poll on reparations: 18% white support, 46% Latino support, 10% Repub support, 35% Dem

This poll was brought up again on MSNBC just now, It's the most comprehensive data out there as of the 2016 Election cycle. Another interesting thing was this generation all voters regardless of race jumped to 40% support that number is probably much higher now. I didn't see a thread specifically on this poll here.

It's a topic that Dems can't ignore but those of you looking to the GOP, 10% support in the Republican party, it ain't gaining any traction in the GOP let's be honest

yes, majority of them are scumbag racists and their lives suck. they are miserable, vile creatures and have no understanding of history or how they(whites) were given all sorts of federal assistance and aid to get and stay above black people. white people would rather burn the nation to the ground than give one penny to a black person. they are evil creatures.

but that's why I was looking at the millennials number being 40% in 2016. That is substantially higher than generation x which was 25% which was higher than the baby boomers obviously.

So the number is on the rise. 35% in the Democratic party is a number that could rise over 50% by 2020. However, 10% support in the GOP shows that anyone pushing a vote GOP is a troll or lowkey trump supporter

The reparations question needs to be broken down.

To all the people against reparations: are you against it because logistically it would be very difficult to determine who gets what and how much....or are you just against it on principle?

If we COULD provide reparations to blacks but at no cost to white people or anyone else (somehow), would white people and other non blacks STILL be against it?

Who is against the idea of reparations and who is against the process/logistics of handling reparations?

I bet most or nearly all white people doesn’t have a definitive answer on why they are against it. Watch the talking points become manufactured once the conversation hits more steam. The Dems answer is “too devisive” or Reperarions for ALL. But they know that’s not going to fly anymore.
