My assumption is the GOP civil war happens in 2028 and allows Dems a victory. The issue is Dems will likely be complacent as usually leaving us to deal with the victor of the Civil War come 2032.

Yea we gotta see what happens in and after the mid terms. Right now the "civil war" is being pushed by a handful of content creators with no power and they might actually be more extreme than Trump. Maybe if Maga gets destroyed in the midterms some more moderate options surface to challenge Vance and the money behind him in 2028.
