Yea I agree. Roxanne's Revenge was a lot of people's first introduction with MarleyThis would have been perfect but they totally skipped over anything concerning Roxanne Shante. Thats how I first heard and saw Marly Marl when she did the Roxanne's Revenge song and he was on the turntables making those silly faces while she was rhyming on the mic.
When he said fly ty wasn't paying him what he was owed and that's why he left cold chillin', that made me think how big, cold chillin', the juice crew, and queens bridge could have been with a producer like him and all the money they was getting if he stayed.
I remember I went to a juice crew concert at the Apollo and that shyt was BANGING. Biz markie had a nose with a booger hanging out of it. Big Daddy Kane had the stage to look like Rome and he had girls walk him to the stage with a robe on and he sat on his thrown while Mr.cee was scratching "big daddy". They also had a pyramid with each rappers DJ, and Marley marl was at the top of the pyramid. Each DJ would scratch his name until it got to Marley. Then I saw the crew in the audience with the dope boys wearing all the truck jewelry, and fancy clothes. Then we was outside and saw all the fly cars(Audi, volvos, jeeps, etc) blasting rap and the whole strip was a car show. Man I loved Hip Hop back then.
