marriage is a legally binding contract that comes with certain legal benefits as well as responsibilities. it's pretty much a business contract (from a legal standpoint). the issue is, most people get married for emotional reasons. in any other scenario, entering a business contract with your reasoning having a 90% emotional foundation would be dumb as fukk. yet we expect this to be the exception,. i'm not saying emotions shouldn't be part of it. even in business,emotions will be part of your decision. the fact that marriage is not just any other business (people you live with, children, etc) of course you have to consider emotions. i just think that the percentages are off. we all need to be more practical about the legal implications of marriage and see if it's the best move for us. i'd argue that for most people, it isn't. people getting married cause they feel they can't live without the other person...you better check your head if you're getting married with someone over infatuation. that's like being 19 and being in love/infatuated with someone and getting a tattoo of their name based on that..except much worse...
