Man allegedly robs bank to pay for wedding, fiancée turns him in

A man was taken into custody after he turned himself in for robbing a bank to pay for a ring and a venue for his wedding. (Trinity County Sheriff's Office)
TRINITY COUNTY, Texas (WKRC) - A man was taken into custody after he turned himself in for robbing a bank to pay for a ring and a venue for his wedding.
Heath Bumpous walked inside a bank, told a teller he had a weapon and demanded money, according to KTRE. He then made off with an unspecified amount of cash in a grey Ford Focus.
The police posted surveillance video stills of Bumpous on their Facebook post. His fiancée saw the photos and told him to turn himself in to authorities.
He turned himself in and most of the money was recovered.
“He basically stated that he was getting married tomorrow so he didn’t have enough money for a wedding ring that he wanted to buy and he needed to pay for the wedding venue,” Sheriff Woody Wallace said.
Bumpous was charged with aggravated robbery.
