IDK how its smart for the networks, but for the cast & crew it gets them guarantee pay for 100 episodes & syndication

If they air 10 or reach a certain number of viewers in 10 episodes, FX has to order and air another 90 no matter what.

aka the Tyler Perry/TBS or Charlie Sheen/Anger Management deal.

However you look at it, I don't think it breeds good TV

its either going to go that way or Nip Tuck but with actual good actors and as lawyers instead with some light comedy either way Kelsey Grammer and Martin Lawrence dont come cheap so someone must think this might be the next big sitcom

I think this could work. Martin has good chemistry with a lot of various actors and Kelsey Grammer is a worker bee, though I concur, I miss Boss so much. Kelsey Grammer + Sanaa Lathan + T.I. was super piff.
