Just cause a few actors from Goodfellas ended up on The Sopranos doesn't make it Scorsese's blueprint, breh

How are you supposed to connect with a show that went on for six seasons by watching it once or twice?

Scorsese needs to worry about being consistent with his movies, ol bushy eyebrow nikka:pacspit:

You brehs are either illiterate or you just want to argue.

But perhaps part of that has to do with the fact that Scorsese feels he's moved on from those types of characters—some he knew from his neighborhood growing up—and it's why you're probably not going to see another underworld movie from the filmmaker. "People wonder why I can’t do something with that world now, but it was a different situation to when I was growing up 50 years ago, a different world, the intent is the same, but I won’t get the details right."
Scorsese is a 71 year old man and he's straight up saying that he's not about that life anymore. He obviously knows it and has moved on to different things. Why hate on a man because he couldn't connect with a TV show?

The idiocy in this thread :dead:

Saying he "didn't connect with it" is a long way from hating. It's not even a criticism.

And I think The Departed is better than Infernal Affairs...though I don't think either is a classic :yeshrug:

I liked Infernal Affairs more than The Departed and i loved Sopranos but Scorcese has already made his bones and done earned enough stripes to talk whatever kind of shyt he wants to about The Sopranos.

Kubrick da gawd:shaq:

I'm probably going to get some shyt for saying this, but Kubrick is the most overrated director ever, imo. 2001 and the first half of Full Metal Jacket were great, but everything else he directed was average/terrible (yes, that includes The Shining - read the book and tell me the movie isn't shytty by comparison).
