Because a movie about a wizard trained in the mystic arts by an immortal little Asian man in the Himalayas doing magical battles with devils and fireheaded demons is simple to make while a movie about an intelligent, capable black hero from a technologically advanced African nation is too difficult to translate to the big screen.

:aicmon:That has zero to do with my point, stop digressing, like I said you damn well knew that a Dr Strange movie was coming soon/out before a Black Panther film with the way Feige has constantly been talking about the character in interviews, so what's with the faux "drama" when it's not surprising in any way, shape or form?.

It's not faux drama or drama of any kind, it just strikes he as odd that Marvel puts out 2-3 movies a year starring one white dude after another and seem only interested in continuing that trend with future films and it's kind of a shytty thing to see.
Also there is nothing about Dr. Strange that names him a better character for inclusion into the Marvel cinematic universe than Black Panther. At least with Panther the mentions of Vibranium have already occurred which gives an inkling that he is an unseen part of the universe already. Dr. Strange names zero sense as a priority especially with how magic is downplayed in these Marvel movies anyway.
So my point is that Dr. Strange shouldn't be a priority over BP or even Black Widow for that matter.

The vibranium shyt is pretty annoying since that first appeared in Wakanda. They have quinjets (Which was created by Black Panther) in the movies and Falcon (Whose wings were made by Black Panther) in movies already.

it's also disturbing because Blade was their first successful serious adaptation franchise.

:rudy:Of course it's faux "drama" when it's been widely known for over a year that a Dr Strange movie would be part of Phase 3/Post-The Avengers 2. I mean Feige even said at the start of last year that Dr Strange will definitely have a movie.

“Beyond that… ‘Ant-Man’ is the only one officially announced, but you probably don’t have to look too far to guess at the next list of characters we’re toying with and beginning to develop…’Doctor Strange,’ which I’ve been talking about for years, is definitely one of them. He’s a great, original character, and he checks the box off this criteria that I have: he’s totally different from anything else we have, just like ‘Guardians of the Galaxy.’ He’s totally different from anything we’ve done before, as is ‘Ant-Man,’ which keeps us excited.”

That was said in January 2013. Feige has been talking enthusiastically about the character since 2012 on a consistent basis, similarly to how he was enthusiastically talking about Guardians of The Galaxy before the announcement in summer 2012. Feige barely mentions "Black Panther" in interviews, you know this, so why would you suddenly expect any sort of news on a film, when the execs aren't even talking about the character or a possible movie in the first place :what:. That's like me expecting WB to give me news on a Martian Manhunter movie, when they've only been talking about Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman for the past three years:heh:.

The reason why they've withheld and downplayed "Magic" is for the "Dr Strange" movie, that's obviously when they'll properly showcase it. That's why they made Thor more "Sci-Fi" and less "mystical" than normal.
